Periodontist

Hsin-Chiang Lee D.D.S., M.S.D.

Dr. Lee is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant specialist, graduating with honors and receiving the Henry M. Swensen Award and E. Brady Hancock Resident Award from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Master of Science degree and Certificate in Periodontics.

Dr. Lee is committed to providing the highest standard of care, emphasizing precision, predictability, and a patient-centered approach. He tailors treatment plans to each patient’s individual needs, prioritizing the preservation of natural teeth whenever possible. By integrating cutting-edge technology, he simplifies procedures and optimizes outcomes, always striving to ensure the best long-term results for his patients.

Dr. Lee is passionate about mentoring the next generation of dental professionals. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of New England, College of Dental Medicine. Additionally, he has presented his case studies and research at international periodontal and implantology conferences.

In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Maine as a new Mainer. He also values spending quality time with his wife, Wei, and their kitten, Alby.

Periodontist

Emily Chen, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Chen is a periodontist and dental implant specialist. She completed her residency in Periodontics and her Master of Science in Oral Biology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she was recognized with multiple awards for her clinical excellence, leadership, and research contributions, including the Richard Marcus Scholarship, the Coslet Memorial Scholarship, and the GAPSA President Gutmann Leadership Award.

Dr. Chen provides comprehensive periodontal and implant care, with expertise in non-surgical treatments, guided bone and tissue regeneration, periodontal plastic surgery, ridge preservation, sinus lifting, and dental implant therapy. She emphasizes evidence-based treatment and tailors each care plan to the individual needs of her patients, with the goal of restoring long-term oral health and helping patients regain a confident, healthy smile.

Passionate about advancing the field, Dr. Chen has presented her research and clinical work at national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the Asia Pacific Academy of Implant Dentistry. She also has extensive teaching experience, serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for dental students at the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chen is an animal lover who enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, and gardening. With a green thumb and a love for homemade food, she finds joy in creating and nurturing both plants and meals. As a new Mainer, she is excited to explore more of the state’s natural beauty and outdoor adventures.

Office Manager

Heidi

Heidi began her career in dentistry in 2008, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and office operations. Her passion for communication and connecting with others led her to explore a successful career in broadcasting, communications, and sales. During that time, she honed her skills in leadership, customer service, and business development.

In 2024, Heidi returned to the dental field, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective. As Office Manager, she draws on her diverse experience to create a welcoming, efficient, and supportive environment for both patients and staff. Her attention to detail, strong communication skills, and patient-first attitude make her an invaluable part of the practice.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys spending quality time with her husband Andy, their children, and grandchildren. She shares her home with a loyal German Shepherd named Rosie, a curious cat named Henry, several chickens, and a turkey named Marlene. Heidi also loves spending quiet time at camp on Success Pond in New Hampshire, where she enjoys exploring the woods on foot or riding 4-wheelers. She also keeps busy reading, listening to music, playing board and card games, and participating in church group activities.

With over five years of hands-on experience in general dentistry, oral surgery, and a range of chairside procedures, Alicia brings both skill and compassion to every patient interaction. Alicia takes pride in delivering high-quality care while helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for.
